Membership is open to all, but only women who donate quarterly are able to nominate and vote for nonprofits.

$100 per quarter ($400 per year). All donations are processed through Grapevine.org and 100% go to the winning nonprofits.

The strongest case for donating to 100 Women Who Care–Lamoille County is that you get something you generally cannot get by giving alone:1. Your gift becomes much more powerfulYou might give $100 to your favorite nonprofits. In our giving circle, more than 100 women combine their gifts and make a $10,000+ grant that can truly impact a program, purchase equipment, or help an organization reach a major goal.2. You help decide where the money goesBy nominating their preferred nonprofits, members collectively determine which organizations are eligible to be considered, hear their stories, and then vote.3. You discover nonprofits you might not otherwise find & hear directly from their leadershipEven people deeply connected to their communities know only a fraction of the nonprofits doing important work. One of our goals is to help members discover the many worthy organizations serving Lamoille County. At each gathering, members hear directly from nonprofit leaders about the problems they are addressing, what they are accomplishing, and how they would use a grant. This creates a more informed and meaningful giving experience.4. You expand your own impact beyond your favorite causeYou can—and should—continue supporting your favorite nonprofits. A giving circle doesn't have to replace that. It can be an opportunity to support the causes you don’t yet know.  This is a chance to discover and support another important need in your community. 5. The social impact is part of the valueA giving circle turns philanthropy into a shared community experience. You meet women who care about Lamoille County, build connections, and become more aware of what is happening in your own backyard.

We understand budgets vary and we would not want to exclude any woman who would like to join us. Members can form teams with 1-3 other members. That brings the quarterly donation to $25, $34 or $50. Let us know if you would like our help to form a team.

Yes, your donations are fully tax deductible. Please note, donations processed through Donor Advised Funds are an exception.

We encourage attendance, but life happens. If you can't attend in person, you can attend online and vote on your computer after hearing the presentations. We want to offer everyone a vote. If you are unable to attend in person or online and want your vote to count, please email Lyn at 100wwclamoillevt@gmail.com no less than 2 days before the scheduled Gather and Grant event for instructions.

Organization Must:• Have tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code for 12 months prior to the start of the quarter for which they are nominated• Listed as a nonprofit corporation with the Vermont Secretary of State• Operate within Lamoille County for the benefit of Lamoille County residentsand communities• Have revenue and expenses under $2,000,000.00 for two consecutive years100 WWC-LC will not provide grants for:• Individuals or private foundations• Activities that are religious, partisan, or political in nature• Fundraising events, fund drives, or annual appeals• Organizations that do not provide direct services• Organizations that received a top 100WWC-LC grant in the last 2 years• Organizations that received 2nd or 3rd 100WWC-LC grant in the last 1 yearAs we continue to grow and evolve, 100 WWC-LC reserves the right to change itseligibility criteria without notice at any time.

There are a few reasons: It eliminates any hint of bias by the steering committee. It reduces the influence of biases by the members (the more populated towns will still have more local nonprofits nominated). It evens the playing field for organizations that might not be well-known or are from small towns that likely have fewer members in our giving circle.

No. As soon as the nomination period ends and the three nominees are randomly selected, the slate is wiped clean. Eligible members (any member who is a quarterly donor) may nominate the same or a different nonprofit the next quarter.
